Theo-Dur is a biphasic release system consisting of a Hydrophilic Matrix in which several small cores are dispersed.
The Hydrophilic Matrix assures the release of Theophylline
in the first few hours after the administration.
The cores help to keep this release constant in time so that a constantly
identical number of Theophylline molecules cross the intestinal wall and
pass into the systemic circulation
